One unusual feature is the campus immersion. Each semester includes a 2-day experience at the NMIMS Mumbai campus. If you live far from Mumbai, plan for this now, because travel and stay can add to your real cost and you will need time off work. Ask whether attendance is compulsory and what happens if you cannot make it.
Faculty and career services
NMIMS states that its 90+ PhD faculty are joined by 140+ industry experts, and that alumni of its CDOE work at more than 8,000 companies. Career services are listed as profile development, practice interviews, a job portal and coaching for career change. These are useful, but they are not a job guarantee, and no university can offer one. Ask for specifics about what is included for online students.
NMIMS online MBA eligibility
Our page lists a minimum of 50% in graduation, or 45% for SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates, with no entrance exam. Confirm this for the current session, as rules can change.

Red flags to watch for
Because NMIMS is such a well-known name, it attracts a lot of confusing advertising. Be careful if you see any of the following:
- A deadline that keeps moving. “Last few seats” pressure is a sales tactic, so check the real date.
- A fee far below the published figure. Ask for the offer in writing, and verify it.
- A promise of guaranteed placement. No university can promise this.
- Old brand names used for new admissions. Check the current programme name.
- Payment to a personal account. Never do this. Pay only through the official university process and keep your receipt.
